After his graduation Mr. Manohar Rao joined a refractory firm in Mumbai in 1977. That was when Mr. NVM Rao’s journey truly began.

Having gained thorough knowledge and expertise for around 8 years in the field of refractory, Mr. Rao started his own refractory firm, Thermotech in Southern India, more specifically Hyderabad- the pearl city of India. Hyderabad, situated in the Deccan plateau region is surrounded by abundant limestone and coal deposits which led to the establishment of many core industries like cement and power plants, process, sponge iron and pharmaceutical within a radius of 200 kilometers. Having studied the market closely and found a dearth of refractory installation services in this extensively industrialized area, triggered the thought of starting the firm with a handful of technical staff and a good number of highly skilled labour and technicians.

Within a very short time Thermotech became a noted name in the field of refractory and expanded its operations and business to the neighboring cities and states and in a short span of time spread its wings across the country. Thermotech has provided refractory-connected supply application services to every corner of the country.

The employee strength at Thermotech grew manifold, from 6 to over 200 in less than 8 years.
